Beallicky Bridge

Three-arch rubble stone road bridge over river, c.1840. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar, cut-stone triangular cut-waters to piers to north, and squared rubble stone coping to parapets. Three round arches with rubble stone voussoirs, and rubble stone soffits having lime render over. Sited spanning Glenshelane River with grass banks to river.

An appealing bridge forming a landmark on the Glenshelane River, the construction of which in unrefined rubble stone assimilates attractively into the surrounding landscape. The construction of the arches, which have retained their original profile, confirms the technical engineering importance of the site.
