What is recorded here

Carrowbrickeen is a ruined tower house in County Sligo, built to dominate the local landscape and protect its owners from raiders. Its stones still stand though roofs and rooms have fallen, leaving a hollow shape that invites imagination about the people who lived inside. The absence of a clear record does not diminish the place; it removes modern certainty and returns the tower to the world of risk, pride and daily survival.
