What is recorded here
Carrowncurry, Garryduff, Gorteendrunagh, Knockacroghery, Knockthomas and Newantrim formed a single bloody battlefield in County Mayo, Ireland, but no date, army or event has survived to identify the clash. The land may still hold the shape of that violence beneath grass and stone, waiting for a witness brave enough to listen.
