Battle of the Solent is a major battle site with a checked map point.
The Battle of the Solent took place in 1545 during the reign of Henry VIII, when the English fleet repelled a French invasion attempt near the Isle of Wight. The English victory prevented a French landing and demonstrated the growing effectiveness of English naval power.
