Battle of Sandwich (1217) is a major battle site with a checked map point.
A naval battle between the forces of Prince Louis of France and the English Royal Navy, fought in August 1217 off the coast of Sandwich, Kent. The English, under Hubert de Burgh, defeated the French, preventing Louis's reinforcements from reaching England and marking a turning point in favor of the English during the First Barons' War.
