Battle of Powick Bridge is a major battle site with a checked map point.
Fought between Royalist forces under Prince Rupert and Parliamentarian troops under Sir William Brereton on September 23, 1642, the Battle of Powick Bridge was a minor engagement of the English Civil War that ended in a Royalist victory. Though small in scale, it marked one of the first battles of the war and demonstrated Prince Rupert's aggressive cavalry tactics.
