Battle of Mortimer's Cross is a major battle site with a checked map point.
Fought on February 14, 1461, the Battle of Mortimer's Cross saw Yorkist forces under Edward, Earl of March (later King Edward IV), defeat a Lancastrian army led by Lord Scales. The victory secured the Welsh Marches for the Yorkists and was a key step in Edward's march to claim the English throne.
