Battle of Harlaw is a major battle site with a checked map point.
The Battle of Harlaw was fought in 1411 between the forces of Alexander Stewart, Earl of Mar, and the forces loyal to Donald, Lord of the Isles. The battle ended in a tactical draw but weakened both factions, contributing to the decline of independent power in the Scottish Highlands and the consolidation of royal authority.
