The Battle of Corbridge took place on the banks of the River Tyne near the village of Corbridge in Northumberland in the year 918. The battle was referenced in the Annals of Ulster and the Chronicle of the Kings of Alba.
The Battle of Corbridge in 918 was fought between the forces of King Edward the Elder of Wessex and an alliance of Northumbrian and Viking forces. Edward's victory helped secure Anglo-Saxon control over parts of northern England, contributing to the long-term unification of the English kingdom.
