What is recorded here
On E slope of a ridge. A poorly preserved circular barrow (D 12.6m ext.) consisting of a central circular area (D 6m), now much disturbed by a sheep-feeding unit, which is encircled by a low but substantial earthen bank. This is overlain by a modern bank in S sector. A gap at NE appears modern, and there is a shed immediately outside the monument at E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
