In a hollow on the Rathcroghan plateau and just outside the ceremonial enclosure (RO022-057012-) around Rathcroghan mound (RO022-057010-) at SE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 43m N-S; 42.5m E-W) defined by a fosse, best preserved at N (Wth of top 9-10m; int. D 0.3m; ext. D 0.2m) and S. A N-S field wall overlies it E of the centre, and it is barely visible E of this feature. It has no outer bank (max. ext. diam. 66m N-S; 59m E-W). Barrows (RO022-057015-; RO0-22-056016-) are c. 60m and c. 40m to the NW and N while barrows (RO022-056017-; RO022-056020-) are c. 85m and c. 110m to the SSW and S respectively.
