What is recorded here
In tillage. Aerial photographs (GB95.FQ.42, 43 & 44 and GB95.FS.06, August 1995; ASIAP (15), 15 and 19, August 1996) show the cropmark of a circular enclosure (int. diam. c. 16m; overall diam. c. 40m) defined by two widely spaced fosses (c. 9-12m apart), the outer fosse being wider and deeper. Given the close proximity of ring-ditches (KK021-042002- c. 20m to the NW; KK021-042003- c. 30m to the N; KK021-042004- and KK021-042005- c. 20m to the NE and KK021-042006- c. 60m to the W), this monument is likely to be funerary or ceremonial in character, and is probably a plough-levelled barrow.
