What is recorded here

Barrow is an unmarked circular feature in County Limerick pasture, recorded only in 1984 aerial photographs and absent from later satellite images. It lies 260m east of Cloheen Church and Graveyard, suggesting a buried chamber or boundary marker lost to soil and time. The disappearance of its surface trace does not erase the shape; it returns the barrow to the region of memory, where circular marks still turn beneath grass and rain.

In pasture, Cloheen Church and Graveyard (LI040-115001/002-) lie 260m to the W. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified as a circular feature on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2569) taken 03/11/1984. No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached BGE aerial photograph (040272) and Google Earth orthoimages.
