In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 12m) on 1842, 1903 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled early 1960s (UCC); surface uneven in area of site. According to Hartnett (PJH), circular raised platform (diam. c. 7m) enclosed by fosse (D 1m) with external earthen bank (H 0.6m); causewayed entrance to E. According to landowner "gold diggers" dug hole at centre of site (Hartnett 1939, 85); depression still visible, marked as Man-made underground passage (CO061-006002-) at centre of site on 1938 OS 6-inch map.
