Barrow

'Situated on a prominent hilltop ridge in an area devoted to rich pasture, and located on the immediate east side of a north/south field boundary, this circular barrow has been partially levelled in the past few years. As it has been flattened, the dimensions may be somewhat distorted. The central platform is much denuded, but still visible as a low circular mound 12.0m N-S by 12.0m E-W, and is 0.20m above the level of the surrounding fosse. This fosse is an average of 3.00m wide and is 0.40m below the crest of the bank. This bank has an average width of 5.00m, and survives to an average height of 0.40m above exterior ground level, although it does attain a maximum height of 0.50m at north.'
