Barrow

In level wet pasture c. 17m NNW of ringbarrow (15287). Circular area (diam. 3.5m) enclosed by shallow fosse, best preserved NW->NE. A ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age, and representing a type of burial monument common in Ireland during the second millennium BCE. Its presence indicates prehistoric funerary activity in the Meengorman area.
