What is recorded here

In level wet pasture on the SW side of a field system (TS057-016014-) and with a ring-barrow (TS057-016012-) c. 40m to the NNW and another (TS065-069002-) immediately to the ENE with others nearby. Identified during field survey by Mark Keegan (8/11/2004). Roughly circular slightly raised area (diam. 4m) enclosed by an earthen scarp (Wth 0.6m; H 0.15m) with a shallow fosse (Wth at base 0.4m) and a low external earthen bank (int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.1m; Wth at top 0.7m; overall Wth 1.9m). The scarp is eroded and the fosse and external bank are absent NW-E where the external edge of the barrow abuts an ENE-WSW orientated portion of the nearby field system (TS057-016014-) and another ring-barrow (TS065-069002-) immediately to the ENE. A ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age, associated with a broader burial landscape; its proximity to other ring-barrow sites suggests a significant ceremonial or funerary zone.
