Barrow

On high level pasture, with commanding views to N and NW over Blackwater River valley and E over Owenbaun River valley. Circular area (diam. 8m) enclosed by shallow fosse (D 0.3m; Wth 4m) and outer earthen bank (max. H1m). Bank highest to W and N; low points to SW and NE may mark possible entrances. Slightly raised interior, has poorly defined edge with gradual rise towards centre. Site planted with coniferous trees. Second ring-barrow (7870) c. 12m to S.
