In flat undulating pasture. A grass-covered gently sloping oval mound (dims. 41.1m x 17m; H 1.6m) which has been quarried into at W. Mound barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Such barrows were typically used as burial monuments and represent some of the earliest forms of ceremonial earthworks in the British Isles.
