What is recorded here

Situated in a col between low hills c. 400m to the NW and SE. This is an oval, scrub-covered earthen mound (dims. 19m NE-SW; 13m NW-SE; H 0.9-1.7m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Mound barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Such barrows are significant as they represent some of the earliest forms of ceremonial and funerary earthworks in the region.
