In pasture, in the S quadrant of a group of monuments (LI049-033001/005-), barrow (LI049-033005-) lies 19m to the E and a cremation pit (LI049-036----) lies 60m to the S. Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Potential ditch-barrow identified as a circular cropmark immediately E of a relic watercourse running N-S on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2580, Site 235) taken 03/11/1984. No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 20011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached BGE aerial photograph and Google Earth orthoimages. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its location within a clustered monument group suggests a ritual or funerary landscape of regional significance.
