Barrow is a hidden ditch circle in County Limerick pasture, not drawn on historic maps but revealed in 1986 aerial photographs. It lies 110m SW of the Morningstar River, with two other barrows within 22m, suggesting a small burial cluster now grazing land. The ditch may have marked a dead person’s home, a family boundary or a warning to passers-by. cattle walk across it today, unaware they graze an old chamber of loss.

In reclaimed pasture 110m SW of the Morningstar River that marks the townland boundary with Milltown. Ditch barrow (LI040-254----) lies 22m to SE and barrow (LI040-247----) lies 15m to NE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 127.01; AP 5/2069) as a possible barrow. Visible as a circular-shaped area enclosed by a ditch on oblique aerial photograph (ASIAP (348) 22). Faint traces of cropmark visible on Google Earth orthoimages. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its location near a river and in proximity to other barrows suggests it may be part of a broader funerary or ritual landscape.
