What is recorded here

In improved pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 80m NE of a townland boundary with Ballynagranagh, which follows the line of a public road. The second southern-most of a cluster of four possible barrows (LI032-251001-/02-/03-/04-). Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 197.02: AP 4/3610) as a small circular-shaped cropmark. Monument is visible as a very faint circular-shaped cropmark (diam. 10m) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/03/2018. A Bronze Age ditch barrow; part of a possible barrow group. Its location suggests a ritual or funerary landscape associated with early agrarian settlement in the region.
