What is recorded here

Ballytarsna Fort hides inside a low hillock rather than standing against the sky, its oval summit marking a probable early medieval rath in County Clare. A broad ring of rushes and reeds still traces the drowned ditch, while a nearby spring would have sustained the people who watched the marsh from that height. The fordistant view and hidden water turned a small mound into a defensible home, waiting for someone to read the shape the pasture forgot.
Ballytarsna Fort is recorded as a archaeological place in County Clare. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
