Ballynacarrick Low Stone Enclosure

In rough, stony pasture, broken by extensive seams of limestone bedrock. Oval area (28m NW–SE; 14.4m NE–SW) defined by a low, grass-covered stone bank (Wth c. 1m; H 0.3m). The enclosing bank is poorly preserved and barely discernible in parts. The flat, grassy interior is distinctive in being relatively free of stones in a field which is heavily seamed by limestone outcropping and generally strewn with stones. The enclosure is bisected, slightly W of centre, by a later, now ruined, field wall (Wth 0.6m; H 0.4m) on a N–S axis. Another enclosure (DG103-078001-) and a house (DG103-078002-) are located 170m to WSW.
