Half of a circular burial platform still stands on a gentle slope in County Donegal, its western edge lost to road widening. Large stones revet the remaining curve while loose rock scattered across the flat top suggests bodies were once laid beneath that surface. Cattle graze around it now, unaware they walk beside the dead. The platform rises one metre, about twenty metres wide, holding what the road took and what time has not erased.
The eastern half of a circular, flat-topped platform 1m in height and c. 20m in diameter survives to indicate this burial ground. The W side has been destroyed by road widening. The edge of the area is revetted by large stones and there is a lot of stone on the platform top. It is located on a slight W to E slope in grazing land.

Ballyheerin Raised Burial Ground is a Neolithic circular burial platform, likely dating to the 4th to 3rd millennia BCE. Its construction and spatial arrangement suggest it was part of a ritual or funerary landscape associated with early farming communities in the region.
The official description records surviving remains. Its missing or destroyed wording refers only to one part of this place or to a different nearby feature. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
