Ballyedrnond Fort is a barely visible circular cashel in low Galway grassland, its northern edge marked only by a grassed drystone wall buried under a later field boundary. The southern side relies on a shallow scarp rather than stone, leaving most of the ring hidden beneath turf and forgetting. It is the kind of place where human ambition faded so completely that the land itself must be questioned before believing its own shape.

In low-lying grassland. Very poorly preserved circular cashel (D c. 45m) defined by a grassed-over drystone wall overlain by a field wall from NW through N to NE. A scarp forms the enclosing element at SW. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere.
