Na reiligi, the graves, occupy a subcircular platform above the Donegal sea where a low curving wall and natural drops enclose a long central cairn. The southern entrance is narrow enough that wind and memory seem to funnel through it before releasing into the chamber of stones. People may have chosen this exposed edge because the dead could watch the water while the living watched them return.

Internal diam. c. 27.5m N-S. A subcircular area (DG012-015001-) enclosed on the N by a modern wall, on the W by a natural drop, on the S by a curving stone wall, 1m high, and on the E by a natural drop. There is an 'entrance' 2.2m wide through the curving wall to the SSW. In the centre of the enclosed area is a cairn (DG012-015002-) 1.2m high, 14m E-W x 7.5m. It is situated on a platform overlooking the sea and is known as na reiligi (the graves). The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. Ballycharry Walled Burial Ground and Cairn is a prehistoric cairn, likely dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. Its partial enclosure and positioning suggest it may have functioned as a communal burial or ritual site, though its wider archaeological significance remains unclear due to incomplete recording.
