Ballybrowney Bridge — Report the wrong picture

Single-arch road bridge over tributary of River Bride, built c. 1830. Roughly coursed limestone and sandstone with lightly tooled voussoirs to elliptical arch, having cut-stone impost courses. Cast-iron mooring ring to south side of arch. Weir to downstream side. Rendered and coursed rubble stone wall to embankment.

This slightly hump-back bridge is a reminder of the engineering achievements and the quality of local craftsmanship in the early nineteenth century. It is a pleasing addition to the landscape.
