Ballybough Cemetery

Ballybough Cemetery stands in northeast Dublin, holding the dead from the poor town named An Baile Bocht. Three MacDonnell brothers fled Ulster in 1605 to claim Kings' Avenue and nearby streets, proving the area belonged to outcasts before it became a graveyard. The cemetery still receives that heritage, giving back a place where forgotten lives can be remembered instead of lost.
