Balix Hill rises to approximately 300 metres and is part of the low-lying uplands characteristic of County Tyrone's landscape. It is situated within the broader geological formation of the Central Uplands, composed largely of ancient Silurian and Devonian rocks. The hill has no prominent folklore or historical events directly associated with it, but it contributes to the regional topography important for local land use and ecological diversity.
