Three-arch road bridge, dated 1868. The bridge is constructed in ashlar granite with three elliptical arches. It is inscribed "OVOCA BRIDGE/H. BRETT C.E. ENGINEER/M. CLARKE CONTRACTOR/A.D. 1868". It carries the main road over the Avoca River. The bridge has stone parapets and triangular cutwaters.
This picturesque bridge marks the southern limit of the town of Avoca. It is very typical of the era and is well preserved; it adds much to the streetscape.
