Arran, Kildonan Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Arran, Kildonan Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Kildonan Castle on the Isle of Arran was built by the Campbell family in the 16th century and later held by the Hamiltons. It is remembered for its strategic position and as a symbol of the power struggles between Scottish clans during the late medieval period.
