Built by the Morgan family in 1832, Ardnalee House displays a grand classically inspired façade, characterised by its classical proportions and regular fenestration. The house is especially notable for its highly ornate entrance with its skilfully carved limestone surround and impressive portico, which greatly enlivens the façade and provides a decorative focal point. The sash windows, timber panelled door and hipped slate roof add to its historic character. The outbuildings, walled garden and gate lodge add to its setting and context.
