Ardal O'Hanlon

Ardal O'Hanlon was born in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, on October 8, 1965, the third of six children in a household shadowed by political danger. His father, Rory O'Hanlon, worked as a physician and politician while receiving death threats, forcing the family to navigate fear and secrecy before Ardal discovered comedy as a way to transform that intensity into joy. The small town gave him watchfulness and story, while Dublin later gave him a stage where nervous energy could become laughter instead of suffering.
