Yes. Architecture records the exact moment when human hands stopped guessing and began shaping the world with knowledge. The chamber is not a chamber of thought, but a place where human intelligence became visible in the world. Everything written above is a measurement of that moment.

Not listed in the SMR (1992) or the RMP (1996). Some architectural fragments were recently returned to Scattery Island having been absent for about 150 years. The first is a 13/14th-century grotesque carved stone head from a window or door. The head (H 26.8m; Wth 24.5m; T 29.5m) has a wrinkled forehead with no hair and deep grooves around the mouth and cheeks. The large mouth is open showing large teeth. The second fragment is the apex of a moulded window or door hood above which is a knight’s head wearing a helmet. The hood bears some dog-tooth ornament. It is unclear which of the churches they came from. A third fragment from a 15/16th-century cloister arcade was returned but may not have come from the island.
