Dressed stones and bowtell mouldings still lie scattered across the Roscam graveyard, likely pulled from a forgotten church that stood inside the ancient enclosure before the present building rose nearby. The fragments hint at a lost doorway or window from the 13th century, inviting imagination about the people who worshipped there and the events that reduced their church to broken pieces. What is certain is that Roscam preserves more than one layer of faith, with the older church buried beneath memory and stone.

Numerous architectural fragments are strewn about the graveyard (GA094-072003-) within the early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA094-072002-) at Roscam. Most are dressed and a number of bowtell mouldings are evident; the latter are most likely from the column of doorway or window of 13th-century date. The presence of so many fragments suggests the probability that there was formerly a church located within the graveyard and that it possibly pre-dates the church (GA094-072001-) c. 25m to the NW.
