Architectural fragment in Mullanacross (trough By.)

Favor Royal, Co. Tyrone, holds two carved corbel heads taken from Errigal Trough graveyard in County Monaghan. They travelled across the county line, perhaps snatched during a survey or donated in pride, leaving a hole in the dead chamber and giving a room elsewhere a voice. The heads still protrude like interrupted speakers, catching light and demanding that the listener complete what the carve left unfinished.
