O'Brien castle stones were stripped and scattered, but one keystone survived inside a modern store wall. It still displays the O'Brien coat-of-arms and the date 1578, preserving a fragment of the lost castle in an ordinary commercial building. The castle may have fallen, been rebuilt or simply stopped being mentioned, yet its identity marker remains visible beside the entrance gate.

This stone is built into the gable of a two-storey store outside the main entrance gate to the yard. It is the keystone from a mantle piece and bears the O’Brien coat-of-arms and the date 1578.
