A small stone corbel, no larger than a child's outstretched hands, survives with a carved head that may have looked down from Drumreilly church. It jumped the boundary of the building to become a household object, perhaps sitting on a mantel or buried in a garden before finding its current private roof. The head stopped witnessing prayers and started witnessing domestic life, yet its expression still holds the quiet confidence of carved stone.

A stone corbel (dims 0.26m x 0.25m; L c. 0.4m) decorated with a carved head is now kept at a private house. The original provenance is unknown but it is possibly from Drumreilly church (LE025-058001-). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
