What is recorded here
Abbeyland preserves a forgotten chamber where discarded window mouldings and cut stone still stand assembled in the tower’s ground floor. The Franciscan friars may have built, broken and rebuilt there across centuries, leaving behind fragments sharp enough to cut through time.
A large collection of window mouldings and cut stone has been assembled in the ground floor of the tower (residential tower of the Franciscan Friary church (HD040-002005-)). (Bradley et al. 1986, vol. 2, 111)
