What is recorded here

Though the Cistercian abbey (TS083-017----) no longer survives, fragments are incorportated in the 19th-century C of I church which was built on or near the site of the monastery. These include, in the centre of the S wall, the remains of a sandstone, round-headed opening (Wth 2m), possibly traceried with diagonal line tooling. It could have been a window or a tomb niche.
