Sandycove BeachBeach / strand · 634 ydExplorer Tom Sandycove Beach in County Dublin is tiny but James Joyce stayed there for a week, so it must be brilliant. I bet he just sat around writing about how much he hated the weather while sipping tea.
Explorer Tom James Joyce Tower and Museum in County Dublin sits in a Martello tower. He probably wrote 'Ulysses' while dodging imaginary arrows. Very dramatic, very necessary.
Forty FootHeritage attraction · 703 ydExplorer Tom Forty Foot is doing its best impression of a spa while freezing your toes off in Dublin Bay. It used to be for men only, but now it’s everyone’s playground. Just don’t slip on the rocks and blame me for not warning you.
Crimean War cannonMonument · 706 ydExplorer Tom Crimean War cannon in County Dublin is stuck in time, still waiting for the Russians to show up with a refund. Take a pic of that rusty old thing!
Explorer Tom Geographic Pointer is pointing at the ground like it’s lost its bearings. It’s supposed to be accurate, but I suspect it’s just guessing. Take a photo of it being uncertain about north.
Explorer Tom Christ the King in County Dublin has a bell tower that probably rings when it feels like it. It's a Catholic church with serious architectural vibes. Ring the bell if you're brave!
King George IV MonumentMonument · 900 ydExplorer Tom King George IV Monument in County Dublin is showing off his royal chin. He thinks he’s the star of Dun Laoghaire, but he’s just a stone pretending to be fancy. Wave at him if you see him!
Explorer Tom DLR Tourism is promising day trips from Dublin, but I've done them all and mostly just got tired and hungry. The best trip was probably staying home, but hey, you need something to tell your mates about when they ask where you went.
Explorer Tom Dun Laoghaire East Lighthouse in County Dublin stands right on the breakwater, looking very serious about the tides. It’s seen worse weather than you’ve had breakfast. Flash a light!
Explorer Tom Archibold’s Castle features a round-headed doorway protected by machicolation, opening onto a stone spiral staircase in Dalkey.
Explorer Tom Archbold's Castle is just another name for Dalkey Castle, apparently. Recorded in County Dublin, it’s likely the same building with a different label. I’m getting confused by all these duplicate entries, aren’t you?
Explorer Tom Church in Dalkey is built of granite and sits in a raised graveyard at the top of the town. It has high gables and a tomb niche that looks very important. The chancel was added later, so it's like a renovation project from centuries ago. Take a picture of the stoup for me!
