What is recorded here

Two upright stones lean west in Knocknagappul pasture, joined across a twenty-centimetre gap like a door left open for someone tall enough to bend. They stand among scattered slabs and neighbouring stone groups on the southern edge of the Boggeragh Mountains, where rock outcroppings make the boundary between ground and sky uncertain. Whatever they marked has stopped speaking in a language people still use, but the alignment remains: north to south, tilted west, waiting for a body large enough to notice the shape of the opening.

In pasture, in area of outcropping rock on a southern extension of the Boggeragh Mountains. This consists of two uprights with their long axes in line (total length 1.55m), aligned N-S and leaning to W. They stand 0.22m apart and would be 0.6-0.8m H if erect. A number of large slabs lie beside them to the W, some of which appear to have been dumped there. An anomalous stone group (CO060-008----) lies 100m to the ESE and another (CO060-200----) lies 150m to the SW. A wedge tomb (CO060-007---) lies c. 250m to the SW.
