Annabaskey Church (in ruins) — Report the wrong picture

Situated on a low level rise in undulating terrain. All that remains of the church is a possible wall foundation (Wth 1m; H 0.2m) running N-S towards the E end of an irregular area of stones (dims. 27m E-W; 15.5m N-S) defined at the N by a stone bank (Wth 2m; H 0.8m). The site is very overgrown. No visible trace of the enclosure shown around the church on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Archaeological test trenches opened in the vicinity of this monument in 2007, as part of the construction of the Enniskerry water supply scheme (Excavation Licence 07E0169), did not reveal anything of archaeological significance (Bayley 2010, 555) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
