On a drumlin in County Monaghan, a D-shaped burial ground presses against a hilltop enclosure, its earth and stone bank still marking the boundary between the living and the dead. The narrow northern entrance invites entry into a small, overgrown chamber where scattered stones may have identified particular people. That much is visible; the rest belongs to imagination. Perhaps someone walked this path at dusk, placed a marker, and left the dead company of ancestors rather than lonely memory.

Situated on top of a drumlin, and against the perimeter of hilltop enclosure (MO026-008001-) at SE-S. This is a D-shaped overgrown area (dims 23.5m NE-SW; 22m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank (at NNW: Wth of base 3.2m; Wth of top 1m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.4m) SW-N-E backing onto the perimeter of the hilltop enclosure E-SW, with an entrance (Wth 2m) at N. The interior has some stones which may have served as grave-markers.
