An Glaidhb is a traditional burial ground on the west side of Ballyness Strand where ploughing once turned up scattered bones. A church stood nearby until about sixty years ago, suggesting this was a living sacred place rather than a forgotten ruin. The land may have held dead people, prayers and memory long before anyone wrote it down.

There is a local tradition of a burial ground here on the W side of Ballyness Strand. Some bones are said to have been found during ploughing. Just W of the 'burial ground' there is said to have been a 'church' (DG024-003001-) about 50 or 60 years ago. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
