An Ardaidh Mhór Burial Ground occupies eighteen metres of good land on a gentle slope above the Glenna River, though a hungry family claimed part of it for a garden. Collapsed graveslabs and a shallow stone basin mark the remainder, suggesting that living needs eventually displaced death itself. The river still flows past the place where people stopped fearing to take back what they could use.

A burial ground here now consists of an uncultivated area, c. 18m E-W and c. 14m N-S, although it was formerly more extensive, a section having been converted into a garden. There are a number of graveslabs, most of which have collapsed. Close to the N side of the site is a block of stone .59m x .4m with a depression .3m x .24m and 0.06m deep. The site is located in good land on a gentle E facing slope overlooking the estuary of the Glenna River. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A Neolithic or early Bronze Age burial ground; significance lies in its grave slabs and as a rare surviving prehistoric cemetery in the region.
