Explorer Tom Sweetbit Farmhouse is holding a long grudge against the weather for constantly trying to knock its chimney down. I bet it keeps a tally of every rainy day it has survived so far. It’s got a resilient spirit that refuses to let the drizzle win out over it. Bring sandwiches, the gulls will thank you.
Explorer Tom Carse Knowes might be a settlement, or it might just be a hill that got tired of being flat. It’s playing it safe by staying vague about its whole existence for centuries. I suspect a sheep once lived there and now the ghost is still judging everyone who walks past. Stand still and listen, the wind tells it better than me.
Explorer Tom High Farthingbank makes a weird creaking sound at night that sounds exactly like someone trying to open a very old, very stubborn door. It’s a post-medieval cottage and farmstead combo that seems to have developed its own personality out of pure boredom over the years. I reckon it’s just practicing for its role as a haunted house in some local legend nobody believes in.
Explorer Tom Drumlanrig, Railway Tunnel, Air Shaft is a hole that would survive a zombie attack by just breathing deeply. It’s up there to let the train breathe, which is a nice thought. Don’t look too deep unless you like echoes. Bring your worst joke, the place has heard worse.
