Alcyone was a British steamship that sank in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine in the English Channel. The wreck resulted in the loss of all 30 crew members and was significant as one of several merchant vessels lost to mining operations during the war.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
